Knitting! Yes! For me! / Neule! Kyllä! MINULLE!

I still knit, do not worry... I had to get this pattern after having seen the adds running in Ravelry for some time. These are for ME and ME only! The yarn is very lushious merino/silk/cashmere/nylon blend, soft and shiny. I hope it won't pill too bad...

Needles: 2.5mm







Kyllä täällä yhä kudotaan - tämä ohje oli pakko saada kun hetken aikaa olin ihastellut sitä Ravelryssa mainoksista. Nämä ovat siis minulle ja vain MINULLE! Lanka on ihanan pehmeää ja kiiltävää merino/silkki/kashmir/nylon -sekoitetta, toivon vain ettei se nyppäänny kovin pahasti.

Window-fun / Ikkunahupia

For once I got the camera out without disturbing the animals and managed to capture the situation as intended! Situation = another dog walking outside on the street.

Kerrankin ehätin napata kameran esiin elukoita häiritsemättä ja sain tallennettua tilanteen sellaisena kuin oli tarkoituskin. Ulkona kadulla käveli toinen koira.

Meillä valvotaan lähinnä naapureiden toimia ja talon katoilla riekkuvia lintuja. Nämä toiminnot on parasta suorittaa toisen kerroksen ikkunasta, saa enemmän näköalaa. Ulkona olohan on tietysti ihan yliarvostettua. Ja jos säleverho on epähuomiossa laskettu alas, niin Suvi kyllä tunkee itsensä sinne paremmalle puolen.

Suvi has learned a new, annoying habit: she will push herself a space between my monitor and keyboard, shed hair everywhere and on the most inconvenient moments get up to stretch and change her orientation.



Suvi on kehittänyt uuden, ärsyttävän huvin: se tunkee itsensä näytön ja näppiksen väliin, varistelee karvaa joka paikkaan ja nousee ylös venyttelemään juuri kriittisellä hetkellä, kun minun pitäisi nähdä mitä näytöllä tapahtuu.

Doggie-sweater / Koiralle villapaita

Because Boyd grew out of his fancy skull-sweater, and the temperature has been -10 / -20 since Christmas, I knitted him a new sweater. This time I used Esther Smith Bozak's Custom Fit Dog Sweater (rav link) which uses gauge and measurements from the dog to determine stitch and row counts. Seemed to work quite nicely, although Boyd wasn't that happy.

Yarn: Novita Nalle
Needles: 3.5 mm and 2.5 mm for the body ribbing.







Koskapa Boyd kasvoi ulos hienosta pääkallovilliksestään ja lämpötila on pysytellyt -10 ja -20 asteen välillä joulusta saakka, piti tehdä pikapikaa herralle uusi paita. Tällä kertaa käytin ohjeena Esther Smith Bozakin Custom Fit Dog Sweater (rav link), jossa kerros-ja silmukkaluvut lasketaan neuletiheyden ja koirasta otettujen mittojen perusteella. Tuntui toimivan aika hyvin, vaikka koira ei ollutkaan kovin iloinen lopputuloksesta.

Birthday card again

There are many family birthdays in my hubby's family around Dec and Jan, including my own, so here's another birthday card.



The flower is made from an old book, and even though it is in Norwegian and not of interest to me and I got it for free for card making purposes, I still felt like I was doing something really evil when I actually TORE OUT A PAGE from a book...
