Less Is More #167 - One layer / shadow stamping

This week at Less Is More challenge a one layer shadow stamping card is called for.

I finally found some good use for my Visible Image "Ink Splats" -stamp set! I used Peacock Feathers, Dusty Concord and Seedless Preserves Distress Inks for the stamping, creating the shadows with second generation stamping. On the front I used clear Wink of Stella glitterpen on top of the first generation splats. I stamped the same combination also on the inside of the card in slightly different composition and framed both the outside and the inside with faux stitching done in Peacock Feathers Distress Marker. Text is done with an old Lawn Fawn set, Harold's ABCs

P*skarteluhaaste #226 - Bingo

A Finnish challenge again, with a bingo-board. I went with brads-stripes-brown.

Paskiksessa bingoillaan taas:

Lähdin liikkeelle niitti-raitaa-ruskea yhdistelmällä. Oli ihan pakko päästä kokeilemaan Tim Holtzin Chevron - bigz stanssia - siitä omassa postauksessaan vähän lisää, meinasi nimittäin päästä tekemään tuttavuutta vesilinnun kanssa.

Stanssasin vielä lisäksi kraftista kerran. Olisi pitänyt liimailla palat mustan pohjan päälle, nyt käytin valkoista ja piti sotkea reunoihin walnut stain - distress mustetta, kun muuten oli liian vaalea. 

Muutama haaraniitti, kulmien pyöristys, katkoviivaa ja stanssipala 3-d tyynyillä kohotettu.

Sisäpuolelle laitoin vielä muutaman ylijäämäpalan.

Less is More #163 Masking or stencilling

I finally got my hands on the Tim Holtz spritzer, and was happily surprised that my Promarkers fit in it - so far I've only seen it demoed with Copics and they have a smaller barrel.

Sain vihdoin käsiini Tim Holtzin spritzerin, ja olin iloisesti yllättynyt, että siihen mahtui myös Promarkerit. Tässäpä siis kortti spritzerillä ja Promarkereilla Less is More -haasteeseen. Putsasin sabluunan käsidesipyyhkeillä, koska Promarkerit eivät vedellä lähde irti, alkoholipohjaisia kun ovat. Huomasin myös, että pystyin kontrolloimaan ruiskujälkeä paremmin kun pidin vasemmalla kädellä kiinni kynästä ja oikealla ruiskutin - muuten nokka tuntui puristuksen voimasta hyppivän minne sattui.

Less is More 163 theme "Masking or stecilling" came almost as ordered, so here is a card made with the spritzer, 3 shades of Promarkers and a stencil from Memory Box. I picked the Promarker colors to fit the enamel dots from Teresa Collins. 

Since the Promarkers are alchohol based, just water will not clean the stencil. I used hand sanitizer wipes, which worked out great. I also found that I could control the placement of the spray pattern better, if I actually held on to the pen with my left hand while spritzing with my right - otherwise the spray tended to go where ever it pleased.

P*skarteluhaaste #223 - aukkokortti

The Finnish P*skarteluhaaste -challenge calls for a card with a window in the front. I used my Simon Says Stamp! Tri Square -die to cut out the windows and DCWV Jewels stack to do the layering inside. The letters were cut with Memory Box's Alphabet Soup. I finished the card off with some doodling, enamel dots and rounded up corners.

Paskiksessa oli tarjolla aukkokortti-haaste tällä viikolla. Aukot stanssasin Simon Says Stamp! :in Tri Square -stanssilla sekä korttipohjasta että DCWV Jewels -papereista ja kirjaimet Memory Boxin Alphabet Soupilla. Loppusilauksina piirtelin mustalla tussilla katkoviivoja, lisäsin pari enamel dotsia ja pyöristin kulmat. Tää clean & simple hommahan alkaa jo melkein sujua :D

Kraft cards

I made a couple of clean and simple kraft-cards with Simon Says Stamp's hexagon die. I paperpieced the hexagons with Prima's Engraver and Craftsman -papers and stamped "gratulerer" with Lawn Fawn's Harold's ABCs -alphabet set.

Muutama clean and simple -tyylin kraft-kortti, joissa käytin Simon Says Stampin kuusikulmio-stanssia. Stanssasin palat myös Priman Engraver ja Craftsman -paperilehtiöistä ja "gratulerer" teksti on Lawn Fawnin Harold's ABC -aakkossetillä leimattu.
