I hopped over the February in the 12 tags of 2014, but I'm on board again with March.
The stampset I chose was the Time Traveller and I tried to do the second generation tag as well, but my main image didn't really work well with that. So, I decided to go just with the first generation.
I did an ombre-effect on the gentleman by using rusty hinge, vintage photo and walnut stain ink pads.
The spritzing is done with stormy sky and pumice stone.

12 tags of 2014 January
Tim Holtz is back with another 12 tags of - challenge for 2014, and I gotta say, this first one is my absolute favorite so far!
For the base coat there was Pumice Stone stain, and then Frayed Burlap through a StencilGirl Gears -stencil and Black Sooth through Tim's own Eye Chart -stencil. I used the Remnants-rubons, as those were what I had available.
For the diecut I used the Weathered Clock-die and Cuttlebug Clockworks -embossing folder.
I cut some additional gears with Spellbinders Sprightly Sprockets dies and the little tag with Tim's Tiny Tabs and Tags.
Different sized gears and Chit Chat -stickers, which I had to lift up with some foam squares as the clock didn't give me a good back to stick them on.

Tim Holtz's 12 tags of 2013 - October
I'm not a big glitter fan, but some of the examples I've seen around YouTube and blogs made me go and grab Clear Rock Candy, Pumice Stone and Black Soot Distress Glitters. Not so very surprisingly October's theme was glitter in the 12 tags of 2013 October -challenge.
Since we don't do Halloween here in Scandinavia (or didn't, but the merchandise overload sure is getting heavier every year in the stores and I've seen kids trick-or-treating...), I made a winter/Christmas -themed tag. It's heavily themed like the one I did for a Finnish challenge, which I really liked.
I must admit, I am falling more and more in love with Peacock Feathers as a color. I only have it as a stain for now, which I used here for the background with Brushed Pewter and Picket Fence -paints. I shaded the edges with Faded Jeans and Pumice Stone and added some stamping in Picket Fence paint. The swirls are heat embossed with Versamark and detailed white embossing powder.
The snowflakes are cut from a food cartong and painted white with Picket Fence, then covered with Glossy Accents and Clear Rock Candy glitter. They are then shaded with Faded Jeans. The xmas-ball is a diecut with the Tiny Tabs and tags -Bigz die, stamped with Picket Fence and then colored with Peacock Feathers, Faded Jeans and Pumice Stone. Glitter is Pumice Stone. Added some half pearls and silver-colored yarn to finish the tag.
