My mom turns 50 in April and she has already escaped it to more sunnier and warmer (hopefully) climate. This was spot on.

Midnight Madness #23

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #23, and I am working with the *mmmmpf* xmas cards again... I want to remind everyone, I am NOT a xmas person, but most people are, and they kinda need cards.



I got this wonderful Vintage Christmas set from Crafty Secrets and it rocks, even if I don't like christmas! The stamps are sooo beautiful :)

The chipboard is from Maya Road and is painted with white acrylic paint and clear Stickles. The green cards are from my trusty stack of paint samples :D I think I have to go and hoard some more greens and reds.

Another Midnight Madness sketch, brilliant as always :)



This sketch was superb for another one of Mo's Digital Pencil images, as they are quite large and do not need additional embellishments (IMHO). Colored with watercolor pencils, twice, and layered.

Did someone say Vintage? And of course, the weekly dose of MMSC layouts. They are giving out some magnificent prizes again this month!





This is kind of an homage to the Next Level girls, as I used 2 techniques tutorialed there in this card. In the background I have 12 little Grungeboard pieces, half of which are colored with Distress ink Vintage Photo and Glimmer Mist Sand, the other half with Vintage Photo and Peeled Paint. The image is a freebie vintage from The Graphics Fairy.

Stamps from Kreativ Hobby's sale, where I bought *cough* just a few stamps *cough* cause they were so cheap! The ladies are always including a little stamp or two too as a thank you, so the corner stamp you see is one of those freebies :)

MMSC #11 and Colour Create 23

Another great sketch at Midnight Madness



I will also enter this to Colour Create Challenge 23 with theme of "Blue and White".



The ribbon is needle tatted by me - just plain chains and loops, as easy as it gets. I stamped the image to glossy photo paper, which I had first smudged with Distress Ink. Interesting finding by the way - I got perfect fingerprints showing because I had touched the surface before applying the ink. It was practically embossing without embossing ink or heat tool ;P Safe to say I had to make another one. Retro flowers are again punched from paint samples, I absolutely LOVE them!

Finally a card!

Well, my craft room is still pretty much a chaos, so this card was made on the corner of the computer table... Not so comfortable ;P

This was my first paper piecing and it was quite fun I must admit ^_^ I did end up making her dress twice as my first selection of paper didn't really work out. It's a bit hard to see, but the backing paper and Willow's shirt are the same paper, digital downloads from the awesome digital download papers from Raspberry Road Designs.

MMSC08

Almost missed this round in the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge because of the move, but luckily my bf's father celebrated his birthday last weekend and I needed to make a quick card as we go and have dinner with them today. To be honest, this ended up being a bit blah, as I had less than 2 hours and our printer is somewhere in the boxes and I had no fitting papers printed out... So I had to wing it with what I had in my stash - which I cleverly packed myself and had out on top...



My bf's father likes driving his huge travel bike, so I found this fitting stamp from the only hobby store in town (by Kort & Godt, "Mann på motorsykkel")
