12 tags of 2014 - March

I hopped over the February in the 12 tags of 2014, but I'm on board again with March. 

The stampset I chose was the Time Traveller and I tried to do the second generation tag as well, but my main image didn't really work well with that. So, I decided to go just with the first generation.

I did an ombre-effect on the gentleman by using rusty hinge, vintage photo and walnut stain ink pads.
The spritzing is done with stormy sky and pumice stone.

Addicted to Technics #8

Back with the Finnish Addicted to Technics with their background with salt -challenge. Continuing in clean and simple style I matted black cardstock on a white card base. The main piece is made with Dylusions Vibrant Turquoise, Crushed Grape and Funky Fuchsia and salt on thick watercolor paper. Text is stamped with VersaMark and then heat embossed with white detail-powder. The stars are die cut with the Simon Says Stamp! Holiday Shapes, glittered with a little Wink of Stella and topped off with coating of Glossy Accents. The black stars on the inside got Wink of Stella coating as well. To finish the card off I doodled some faux stitching with my Uniball Signo.

Addicted to Technics -blogissa haastellaan tekemään tausta suolan avulla. Tässäpä tämä minun yritelmäni: clean and simple -tyylinen kortti, jossa valkoiselle korttipohjalle liimasin ensin mustan pohjan, ja sen päälle kohotarroilla akvarellipaperille tehty suolaosuus. Käytin Dylusions-suihkeita väreissä Vibrant Turquoise, Crushed Grape ja Funky Fuchsia ja sitten sitä suolaa. Gratulerer-teksti on leimattu VersaMarkilla ja sitten kohokuvioitu detail-jauheella. Tähdet ovat stanssattu Simon Says Stamp! Holiday Shapes -stanssilla akvarellipaperista, glitteröity Wink of Stella -sivellinkynällä ja päällystetty Glossy Accentsillä. Kortin sisään stanssasin mustasta pahvista 3 tähteä lisää, näissä on myös Wink of Stellaa. Lopuksi vielä valkoisella Uniball Signolla katkoviivoja reunoihin.

Less is More #163 Masking or stencilling

I finally got my hands on the Tim Holtz spritzer, and was happily surprised that my Promarkers fit in it - so far I've only seen it demoed with Copics and they have a smaller barrel.

Sain vihdoin käsiini Tim Holtzin spritzerin, ja olin iloisesti yllättynyt, että siihen mahtui myös Promarkerit. Tässäpä siis kortti spritzerillä ja Promarkereilla Less is More -haasteeseen. Putsasin sabluunan käsidesipyyhkeillä, koska Promarkerit eivät vedellä lähde irti, alkoholipohjaisia kun ovat. Huomasin myös, että pystyin kontrolloimaan ruiskujälkeä paremmin kun pidin vasemmalla kädellä kiinni kynästä ja oikealla ruiskutin - muuten nokka tuntui puristuksen voimasta hyppivän minne sattui.

Less is More 163 theme "Masking or stecilling" came almost as ordered, so here is a card made with the spritzer, 3 shades of Promarkers and a stencil from Memory Box. I picked the Promarker colors to fit the enamel dots from Teresa Collins. 

Since the Promarkers are alchohol based, just water will not clean the stencil. I used hand sanitizer wipes, which worked out great. I also found that I could control the placement of the spray pattern better, if I actually held on to the pen with my left hand while spritzing with my right - otherwise the spray tended to go where ever it pleased.

P*skarteluhaaste #223 - aukkokortti

The Finnish P*skarteluhaaste -challenge calls for a card with a window in the front. I used my Simon Says Stamp! Tri Square -die to cut out the windows and DCWV Jewels stack to do the layering inside. The letters were cut with Memory Box's Alphabet Soup. I finished the card off with some doodling, enamel dots and rounded up corners.

Paskiksessa oli tarjolla aukkokortti-haaste tällä viikolla. Aukot stanssasin Simon Says Stamp! :in Tri Square -stanssilla sekä korttipohjasta että DCWV Jewels -papereista ja kirjaimet Memory Boxin Alphabet Soupilla. Loppusilauksina piirtelin mustalla tussilla katkoviivoja, lisäsin pari enamel dotsia ja pyöristin kulmat. Tää clean & simple hommahan alkaa jo melkein sujua :D

P*skarteluhaaste #222, bingo

It's bingo-time at P*skarteluhaaste again: I made a clean and simple card with Memory Box's Tall Chloe Stem with bingo-line "white-X-diecut", where X is pearls.

P*skiksessa bingoillaan taas. Valkkasin rivin valkoinen-X-stanssi, jossa X:ksi sopii vaikka nuo puolihelmet. Clean and simple -tyylillä yritin taas mennä, stanssina Memory Boxin Tall Chloe Stem. Bannerin leikkasin ilman stanssia.
