P*skarteluhaaste #1 (Finnish challenge blog, only in FInnish)

Hihhei, ensimmäinen p*skarteluhaaste on täällä :D

Ensimmäinen tehtävänanto olikin hankala minulle, koska lempiväri ja sen vastaväri ovat suosikki- ja inhokkivärini... Mutta tässä olisi:
violetti / keltainen



Tilda on Minalta saatuja kuvia, väritetty Distress Inkeillä (Vintage Photo, Fired Brick, Dusty Concord). Paperit ovat Basic Grayta, retro-kukat on leikattu maalinäytteistä ja keltainen nauha on anoppikokelaan varastoista, jotka siirtyivät minun varastoihini turskan kommentoidessa äidilleen vapaasti suomennettuna "Kiitti vaan roskasta". Siellä oli vaikka mitä kivaa ;)

Boyd, 17 weeks, or should I say Romeo?

So, our "little" devil had a visitor last weekend, an elderly German Shepherd lady, who unfortunately was in the end of her heat... He didn't quite know what to do, to try to play or... Well, see for yourself ;P



The old lady didn't really take him too seriously, and gave him some paw for his trouble :D Poor Romeo...


He still tried hard to get the lady's interest:


Finally we had to do some timeout on daddy's lap:


He's grown so much, look at this picture taken when he was 12 weeks:

No beard here...

Now at 17 weeks, mr. Puberty has a beard and some long chest hair too!

Sugar Bowlin'

This card for The Sugar Bowl #16 really fought me all the way...

I was supposed to stamp the sentiment with another stamp, and had done so, when my kitty came in from the rain, came to say hi by hopping on my craft table and left wet paw prints on the ink. Safe to say Distress ink is NOT waterproof ;P Okay, plan b then, I'll doodle the text. I had a pretty sign all drawn up, when my hubby comes to see what I'm doing and goes "Honey, you know you misspelled that..." I am not Norwegian, and I tried to write "Gratulerer med dagen" but had instead written "Gratureler med dagen". I swear I read it twice and did not notice! At this point I gave up and went to bed. The next day I used single alphabet to make the sentiment, which is correctly spelled now, I HOPE.

The option was to include doodling, which is now present as stitching in the background circle and as the stars.



Final sentiments, blah. Really wasn't my day.

MMSC #13 and allsorts challenge

Did someone say Vintage? And of course, the weekly dose of MMSC layouts. They are giving out some magnificent prizes again this month!





This is kind of an homage to the Next Level girls, as I used 2 techniques tutorialed there in this card. In the background I have 12 little Grungeboard pieces, half of which are colored with Distress ink Vintage Photo and Glimmer Mist Sand, the other half with Vintage Photo and Peeled Paint. The image is a freebie vintage from The Graphics Fairy.

In the garden...

We were happily surprised as we arrived to this new apartment of ours (military rental), and saw that we actually had an extended garden, because this is a corner flat.

We have bushes for the kitty to hide in:


Space for a doggy enclosure that really doesn't deter the cat one bit:


Wooded area for furniture:


And relatively soft soil for the doggy to dig:


And when a fox/rat terrier digs, he means business:

Furry day...

Today we had some action in the form of a sleek, redish-brown cat (abyssinian?) from the neighborhood, who decided to come and sniff us out.

(this is a bad picture, but just look at Suvi's tail :D)


Avoiding eye-contact....


Slightly less fluffy tail, as the guest didn't seem to be aggressive, just plain bold.


But Boyd was a bit too much for the neighbor :D


On another note, we also experienced our first casualty today.

Well obviously since we got a puppy he must have a cardi (or two. or ten.). I mean, knitters and dogs are a notorious combination! So, here we go:

Harvest Dance

I haven't had the time to make this image into a card yet, but I wanted to post it because Mo wanted to see results ^_^

So this is from the super-talented Mo Manning, who's illustrations have totally stolen my heart (and my PayPal balance...).

Here is the Harvest Dance, which I ended up interpreting as a dance between summer, autumn and winter - somehow the colors just came that way ^_^

Oops, forgot to mention that the image of course is colored in with watercolor pencils, dry this time. The printer ink totally gives me a headache cause it bleeds if I use water on top. Gotta get me some fixative :/

Sukkersött Jubileumsutfordning

For Sukkersött's 1-year celebration challenge number 2.
